24-year-old Hawaiian surfer Kalani David suffered a seizure and died whereas browsing in Costa Rica on Saturday.

Kalani was born on Hawaii’s Oahu North Shore and shortly rose to a ‘veteran’ surfer at 14 years previous, based on his X Video games profile.

He poured his coronary heart and soul into browsing and skating, and when requested in 2016 to decide on between the 2 as a profession, he merely answered, ‘If it was life or demise, and I had to decide on skating or browsing, I’d select demise.’

The seasoned surfer suffered his first seizure in 2016 whereas skateboarding in San Diego, California. In a while, he had three extra seizures after his coronary heart briefly halted, based on The Every day Beast.

‘So grateful to be alive,’ Kalani wrote on Instagram on the time whereas he claimed he ‘fell on [his] face and wakened in an ambulance.’

Weeks later, he underwent surgical procedure.

Sammy Marquecho, Kalani’s girlfriend, tragically introduced his demise on Sunday whereas sharing a number of photos of their reside collectively. She revealed Costa Rica was the place the surfer wished to start out a life.

‘At a lack of phrases,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘My coronary heart is shattered with out you on this world. My first & endlessly love thanks for displaying me what real love & happiness was.
